I always get bladder infections, in the past year i have had 13. Its miserable and the worst pain in the world. Right after i get rid of one, it comes right back. What do I do? How can I get rid of the pain? And cure it? Any natural remedies?

Sometimes, before one comes, i can tell its coming, how can i stop it before it gets really bad? help please, im sick of being in so much pain.

UTIs are a plaugue to many women and are very common. In most cases they are not a cause for alarm however yours are very frequent and it could be the first sign of something else. Your uniary tract could be malformed, causing a build up of bacteria also, UTIs are more frequent in diabetics and people with sicklecell disease. However, it could be as simple as highly active sexual life.

To start off with introduce a regular habit of drinking cranberry juice (read the label to make sure that cocktail mix has a fair amount in it) OR eating blueberries, drink lots of water, do not hold your pee--go when you have to go, go pee after sex, remember to wipe front to back not back to front, and take frequent baths and showers (without scented products).
Also, look into your umm habits down there. LOL no I don't mean anything dirty, I mean something is causing irritation for you and you need to discover what that is. Do you douche? Do you use perfumed soaps or body wash? Do you use bubble bath? These are all irritants that can cause regular UTIs as well as yeast infections. Try bathing with epson salts and book a check up with your doctor.

Also, I wish people would stop posting things like 'go see your dr'-- that's kind of an obvious and easy answer but she's looking for some help so how about it?

drink lots of cranberry juice and make sure your really clean down there and see a doc about it cuz that many isn't normal

I'm afraid that you will have to get medical attention.Perhaps it's what you drink. Do you drink a lot of sodas? Try cranberry juice.
But get to your family doctor.

have you ever tried drinking cranberry juice?

Do you douche? that is a major cause of bladder infections. Make sure that everything is clean that goes near you, if you know what I mean, without getting too graphic. It's possible that baths would also make your problem worse. There is an over the counter medicine called Uristat that has worked for me, but I don't know that it cures it, it gets rid of the pain. Have you seen your doctor about it?

It is said that drinking Cranberry juice (unsweetened) is a natural preventative for this. But you also have to be careful about you hygeine to avoid UTIs. I think once one has started, an antibiotic is really the only "cure."

some people are more prone to UTIs than others

more than likely you never got rid of the first one
go see your doctor and try not to hold your bladder when possible; urinate frequently
urinate asap after sex also

good luck

you should ask a doctor.

Oh my.. I'm not a doctor, but what might help is drinking cranberry juice or blueberry juice. Both are highly acidic and kill a lot of the bacteria that cause UTI. Also, make sure you consume a lot of liquid per day (8-10 cups) and when you feel the need to go to the bathroom, don't hold it. The idea is to keep flushing bacteria out.
Beyond that, I can't think of anything other than doing what your doctor tells you to.

Drink tender coconut water and lots of boiled cooled water. Also eat fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, gooseberries. Avoid excess sodium chloride(salt!).
Also early morning as soon as you get up on an empty stomach drink 1000 ml of water, you will be rid of bladder problems.

you should drink more water and less soda and the other kind of drinks you drink. You should quit on alchoholic beverages. You can also drink lots of Cranbery juice.

Sometimes, bladder infections can be caused by wiping yourself incorrectly after toileting yourself.
They can also be caused by underwear that does not fit correctly, has been worn for too long,
or is of a material that is irritating to your female area.

Always remember when toileting, to wipe from front to back.
A woman's urethrea is shorter than a man's,
thereby creating a more opportune breeding ground for bacteria.

If your infections continue, you should consider consulting with your doctor, who may be able to prescribe some type of antibiotic to help you the next time an infection comes around.

In the meantime, I would recommend drinking lots and lots of water, and also cranberry juice.

Good Luck~*

First of all are you wear tight fitting pants? That is a no no for women. Try drinking cranberry juice. You should see urologist, it could be urinary tract infection. I had this problem when I was 16. Later it led to scarring on my right kidney from so many infections. I later started having my urinary tract stretched every 3 months to prevent the infections. See a doctor! If your having sex, try drinking a glass of water before and after. Go directly to bathroom and empty bladder after sex.

WATER WATER WATER!!!!! Is best to prevent them, cranberry juice also. My daughter gets real lazy about drinking water. She has had so many UTI's it is unreal......Her Dr. fusses at her about drinking water. I have bought water bottles for at school, so she doesn't have to leave class to get a drink. We also bought an Ozarka water cooler so that the water is there at all times cold and easy access for her. After she starts drinking like she is supposed to, she has UTI's less. But always has to have antibiotics to get rid of one. Pay attention to your lips also. Do they get dry a lot? Doc has told us that is another sign of dehydration. If so, drink your water!!!!!!!!

Take Cranberry pills or drink the juice but also refrain from scented bubble baths, and shower gels. Use a mild gentle soap and also a trick I learned (although never had any bladder infections) is using peroxide in a more hot than warm water as a bubble bath. Soak very vigorously for about 5-10 minutes. Then Rinse for a few minutes also. Then try using Ivory with aloe my personal favorite. It'll help but maybe your doctor needs to prescribe something for you.

Drink lots of water when you now that your going to get one.....sometimes you are able to get rid of it before it gets bad....some people say that they are caused by drinking to much pop...so slow down on your pop drinking and after you have sex....this may sond gross but you should go pee right after.....that helps get rid of anything that shouldnt be there afterwards......i usually take an overthe counter drug its called AZO and it works great.....but you usually have to go to the doctor to get a prescritpion to get rid of it if it gets really bad.....good luck i hate when i get one!!!

I too get them alot, I have tried cranberry pills, they are a great way to keep your urinary tract healthy and also make sure that you drink lots of water. This should help. When I feel one coming on I take extra amounts of cranberry pills throughout the day and try to flush it out with water and that usually works for me. A nurse at the E.R. told me if I get too many I can get cancer. If you are sexually active you might be allergic to the condoms and it can give you UTI's

There might be something else going on in your body, so have a think about your overall health. Do you have much energy, do you have digestive complaints, do you get skin problems, etc? For example, candidiasis is a common problem in the Western world that has a symptom of frequent bladder infections (just an example, Im not saying you have this)

If you are taking antibiotics every time you get one of these infections, you should be taking probiotics as well. Frequent antibiotic use is one of the main causes of candidiasis.

Also, try a supplement called "D-Mannose", it is natural and people have had great results from it. Cranberry juice doesnt do much for me when I have UTIs, I dont know why so many people swear by it.
