Any one know any home remedies that work for bladder infections?

I am looking for home remedies for bladder infections. Something simple that anyone can use. Not weird drugs no one can prenounce. Does anyone know if you can end up with kidney damage from leaving one untreated or is that just a playground rumor?

Garlic! Garlic! and more Garlic! (a natural antibiotic)
Lemon Juice
Cranberry Juice
Apples
Yogurt with live cultures
Pearl Barley
Flaxseed
Honey

To maximize the effectiveness of this, you can:
1. Drink flaxseed tea with honey and lemon (To make tea: first strain two ounces of flaxseed in cold water, then place seeds in a nonaluminum pot with 4 cups cold water simmer for 15 minutes then strain, add honey and lemon.
2. Eat barley cooked with as much garlic as you can stand.
3. Eat chopped apples with plain yogurt, lemon juice and honey.
4. Take Cranberry Extract capsules.

It works quickly (although not as quickly as a prescription) - you should feel a little better tomorrow, and better than that the next day.

no but you can find one on the t.v

Cranberry juice! or cranberry pills. and avoid the things that can trigger a UTI like bubble bath (it's the worst), always wipe from front to back and make sure your partner is clean. These three things are the most common causes for bladder infections. Oh and leaving a bladder infection untreated can lead to septecemia, infection in the blood and yes, kidney damage.

Drink alot of water and cranberry juice. Water will flush you out. A bladder infection is different from Kidney infection. You do need to see your doctor to be treated if you are not better soon.

CRANBERRY JUICE
This does the trick everytime.
As soon as you feel the sensation of a bladder, kidney, urinary tract infection you should drink as much Cranberry juice as possible and watch the problem vanish.
As for damaging...sorry can't answer that one.
Check it out with your doctor.

cranberry juice lots of water avoid soda.azo over the counter.

You most certainly can end up with kidney damage. The bacteria will spread up into your kidneys and believe me the pain is unbearable, I speak from experience but i treated myself and caught it in time. I am an alternative medicinal therapist and this incorporates herbal remedies and an ex nurse, and I can prescribe plenty of remedies but my favourite is CRANBERRY JUICE.It sounds like you have CYSTITIS. I often used to suffer with this but now I drink a pint of this a day. Stand by for a few more remedies.

Agrimony-bearberry,cornsilk, lime,mullien and echinacea.
Drink at least 2 pints of water a day. Do not drink fizzy drinks or lemon & orange they are acidic. You can get any of the above from your health shop they come in the form of a tea.Cranberry juice you can buy anywhere. You can also put 5 drops of essential oil of Cajeput and Juniper in your bath water.
DIET: Freshly cooked vegetables, adequate protein(vegetable) Polyunsaturated oils,Organic foods with an absence of additives and tartrazine colourings.Eat watermelons, carrots and carrot juice and Garlic, this is a very powerful antibiotic and should be taken in capsule form everyday to ward of many infections like colds and flu.
You may even end up with blood in your urin, please don't panic, this happens because the acid from your urin is so strong that it has blistered the neck of your urethra. You must get medical help as soon as possible if this happens, I know I've had it. Please do not ever let a bladder infection go untreated you can end up with irriversable kidney damage.
