Health question about bladder infections?

I know this may be a silly question, but I need to ask. If you just found out today that you have a bladder infection and had intercourse last night, is it possible to give that to your partner? I dont think it is something that can be spread, but I just want to check.
Also, if is is able to be passed, does that person need to get Bactrim as well?

Not likely, but you should really consult your dr, and so should he if it may cause any concerns...

Not likely

Bladder infections are not usually passed from person to person.

umm . . . maybe if you're a guy? A woman's urethra is separate from her vagina. . . unless you guys are rubbing all over each other, and it's the woman who has it, I shouldn't see why . . . but if the guy were to have one, it could be possible. . .

It can spread, but it's not likely. Your partner will know if they got the infection in a few days, but until they're sure they shouldn't be taking antibiotics.

Some infections, such as cystitis can be caused by intercourse. Cipro is very good and quick to relieve pain.

No!!!

No you can not spread a bladder infection. But you sure do not need any new bacteria up there.Wait til you recover before having sex.

It is quite possible. Trichomonas pass from one to other. A proper urine test may help in resovling the issue. Is it bacterial or parasite. In the latter case the treament would be mitronidazole

talk to your doctor. when my wife found out she had one, i also had to take bactrim just in case she had passed it onto me.

Im not 100%.... but I would say its not likely for a woman to be able to pass a bladder infection on to a man.
If its possible at all.

Bladder infections are NON contagious. Also known as UTI ( urinary tract infection )
My question would be ...................how can you have sex with a bladder infection ? I've had it several times, due to drinking too many Pepsi's, and I KNOW how painful it can be !
Drink a LOT of Cranberry juice. It really does help !
Also, lots and lots of water!

PS Even though men have had them, they are very unlike to get them.
Go to WebMD for more info.

It can happen - but its unlikely.
Tell your partner and drink some cranberry juice.
