you should get that taken care of, especially if you are concerned!

Please read this site for your answers so you will know who serious a bladder infection is. If left untreated this can lead to kidney damage as the infection is then passed to the kidneys.

There are no side effects from any infection,,, side effects are an adverse reaction to a drug.... You are talking about signs and or symptoms. Frequency in urination, difficulty urinating, pain upon urinating, and cloudy urine are signs and symptoms.... Check out WEBMD.COM.

Yes. You should see a doctor if you are hurting. You might need antibiotics if you are hurting. You feel like you have to go, but you can't. Take Azo tablets. You can get them over the counter from your drug store. Drink cranberry juice. You should do that anyway so it won't happen again.

YES! For a woman, the side effects are feeling the need to urine frequently, even when you don't need to (a burning sensation), and possibly a fever. For men, a bladder infection is very uncommon, and can lead to flu like symptoms. Men need to get to the doctor ASAP if they think they have a bladder infection. For women, some times cranberry juice is the best thing. Stop drinking soda and anything carbonated RIGHT NOW, and drink tons of water. Usually, you can flush out your system, but if not, go to your doctor or OBGYN and they will prescribe you a small pill you'll take for a few days (or possibly only once), and it'll clear up.

A UTI or urinary tract infection without treatment by a Dr. can get very bad and go to the Kidneys. There is a a need to urinate all the time but when you do try to pee you just do a drop.. Also lower and side back pain which gets worse as the infection gets worse.. And when you see blood in your pee you will not be a happy camper..There can be some very nasty long side effects also if it goes untreated for to long. Now this is if you have it. But if you are asking if you can catch a bladder infection from your girlfriend or family member not in this life time.. It's a personal thing and is not contagious..Kat
