Anyone know a natural way to get rid of bladder infections or kidney infections?

I really don't want to take medication for it, because of what antibiotic etc do to your body. So how can I get rid of it naturally?
The symptoms are: Peeing frequently and often with blood. Sometimes it hurts other times not really
I'm not sure whether it is the bladder or kidneys or something between.
I'm objected to man made drugs, but if I don't find something that works naturally, then of course I'll got to the doctor and get something. I'm not stupid. .So please don't give me all this stuff about getting to the doctor right away.
Thanks in advance to all the people who prefer the natural way!

HI Carmisrael

Glad to hear you take a stance on healing your own issue.

Causes of Bladder Infection
The primary cause of bladder infection is bacteria that are unable to be eliminated from the urinary tract. The problem is not due to bacteria getting in to the urinary tract, but to bacteria not being able to get out.

Menopause can increase the risk of bladder infection developing because, during menopause, levels of the hormone estrogen decline in the body, making it easier for bacteria to stick to the lining of the urinary tract.

Preventing Bladder Infection
In order to prevent bladder infection, women should do the following:

Avoid urinating after intercourse until necessary. Full urination enables the body to more effectively eliminate bacteria from the urinary tract.

Consider your choice of contraceptive. Women should avoid the use of overly large fitted diaphragms, as these prevent effective voiding of the bladder, especially after intercourse. Contraceptive sponges can cause similar problems. Better birth control options are to wear a cervical cap, or to have your partner wear a condom.

Quick Action Steps for Bladder Infection

1. Avoid urinating after intercourse until necessary. Full urination enables the body to more effectively eliminate bacteria from the urinary tract.

2. During intercourse, avoid using overly large fitted diaphragms and contraceptive sponges, which can prevent effective voiding of the bladder. It is better to wear a cervical cap, or to have your partner wear a condom.

3. Avoid all sugars, refined carbohydrates, sodas, processed foods, preservatives, artificial sweeteners (especially aspartame), corn syrup, alcohol, white bread and white flour products, pastries, and hydrogenated and trans-fatty oils, as well as all foods to which your are allergic.

4. Emphasize organic, fresh vegetables and non-citrus fruits, organic grains, as well as organic, free-range meats and poultry and wild-caught fish.

5. Drink plenty of pure, filtered water throughout the day (I drink a gallon).

6. Drink 16 ounces of organic, unsweetened blueberry or cranberry juice.

7. Useful nutrients for treating bladder infection include vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin, C, zinc, and acidophilus.

8. Adding half a teaspoon of mannose powder to pure filtered water and drinking it every one to two hours can speed recovery.

9. The herbs buchu, corn silk, couch grass, goldenseal, marshmallow leaf, and uva ursi can also be helpful, as can fresh parsley.

10. To relieve symptoms, take alternating hot and cold sitz baths.
Consult with a homeopathic physician to determine an appropriate homeopathic remedy.

11. Be sure to do a colon and kidney cleanse for long term health.

Best of health to you

I'm sorry I don't know of any natural way to get rid of the infections but I do know that if you increase your intake of water you can help avoid them. I have a friend who has bladder infections all the time and I keep telling her to drink more water, but she says she doesn't like the taste! So she has to suffer with the alternative.

Try cranberry juice.

drink lots of cranberry juice

I wouldn't fool around with a kidney infection, if I were you. Sometimes bladder infections resolve on their own but if they don't, they can lead to complications that can include kidney involvement.

No OTC product, like AZO or cranberry juice, can or will treat infection. These things can help alleviate the symptoms that accompany an infection but this is temporary. The infection will still be there. Water is good but, again, water can't treat infection. It is only water.

The bottom line is that you don't know what you have - infection of the bladder, the ureters or the kidney. Or if it's a stone that's causing the problems. So, despite what you said about going to the doctor right away, that's exactly what I advise you to do. Get a diagnosis first. If after that, you still wish to treat whatever-it-is without meds, that's your decision. But it will be an informed decision.

YOU HAVE GOT TO GO TO A DOCTOR! If you have blood in your urine then you have a problem. Not treating an infection with antibiotics could lead to serious kidney damage! There is nothing natural that will make it go away. Cranberry juice and other things help PREVENT UTIs, not cure them! Get antibiotics!
