Frequent UTIs (Bladder Infections) Help!!!?

Anyone have any advice on frequent urinary tract infections?? I am recently engaged and i guess i do have sex more often than i used to and i know that can contribute to them if your already proned. I change my underwear every day, drink lots of water, even take cranberry pills sometimes. Does anything else work? Im afraid of all these antibiotics lowering my immune system.

YES! I have to same problem and it has made me change my feelings about sex completely and made me almost not want to do it at all. But, this problem can be solved. What you should do is urinate before sex and after and cleanse before as well as after. Also, using a lubricant during the act has dramatically cut back symptoms.

the only thing i know to tell you is to drink more water and stay away from caffeine products like coffee and tea. other that that, i dont know. good luck!

ask you boyfriend to bath every time having sex.. and begin your day drinking 2 glasses before having a breakfast try to drink more than 8 glasses a day. Avoid salty foods especially salty potato chips. Also try buko juice every day if you can get one.

Congrats on your engagement!!!!

I'd also be worried about the antibiotics and their effect on your birth control pills.

I used to get really bad uti's when I was first engaged too....we just started using a different kind of condoms and when we didn't use those I made sure to pee RIGHT afterwards.

Eventually my body got used to all the extra sex. :) Thank goodness!

Even now I will still get a mild uti unless I pee afterwards.

If you don't start getting better...I'd go and have a nice long visit with my ob/gyn and get her advice....it might be better than my suggestion of peeing.

Good luck.

Try using feminine wipes everytime oyu use the restrooma and after sex. Also Azo makes a product thats over the counter for yeast, which will also work for UTI's
