Where will i find information on infection control? |
best medicail site Cherub is right. I work as a carer in a home for elderly people with dementia, and I am constantly washing my hands, even after wearing disposable gloves. I think a good website to find would be the one for Health and Social Care NVQ2, as they deal in some detail with this issue. I'm sorry that I can't give you the website name but it should be easy to find. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/ has got info on a wide range of medical issues! i don't know but I can tell you that the best method of infection control is good hand washing. That is what is going wrong in hospitals. Because medics and care givers are so pressured to be always on the go non stop, they don't take the time to wash their hands CORRECTLY after seeing to each patient. Hands need to be washed thoroughly and rinsed for at least 3 minutes each time and when you add it all up it is very time consuming and sore on the skin, but the patients and hospitals are suffering as a result. I have gone on a bit - excuse me. I am sorry I don't know a website for this. |
