CAN I USE YEAST INFECTION medicine if i take oral birth control or will that make it not work?

CAN I USE YEAST INFECTION medicine if i take oral birth control or will that make it not work?

Oral antibiotics stop your pills from being effective, not vaginal creams. You're fine. BUT, do not have sex while on a vagina cream because you need to let the medicine work, and it keeps working even after you've showered the next morning...

i've never known of any interaction. I've taken Diflucan and Monistat with Birth Control and never been told anything.

You can take yeast infection meds (Monistat or Vagisil). It shouldn't be a problem unless you have to take antibody meds from the doc. Those can interfere with hormonal birth control.

That is fine, no interaction to decrease the effectiveness of the pill

well srry to sound mean but be careful around wat u sleep and wash up with go to a gynecologist is u get worried

YES you can but the problem is what kind of yeast infection is it? Thier is many kinds. If you drink alot of beer then it has alot of yeast that will do it.

I had a yeast infection and i toolk my birth control pills and the yeast medication and worked just fine and it would work

Since birth control pills unfortunately can cause yeast infections, the medications are safe to take together. You might be thinking about antibiotics, because they will mess up your birth control and you will need to use a backup method for the remainder of the pills.
