Indigestion and gallbadder removal? |
has anyone else expereinced indigestion after having gallstones removed Your gallbladder stores the bile that is needed to create the alkali PH for your small intestine to digest your food. So this effect should be normal.- Trust me, my biology teacher taught me this morning. Yes, I also get back pain when I have been to the toilet. It seems that the bile produced by the gall bladder did more to aid digestion than I was told. Bloating is also a problem espescially after eating lots of fresh vegetables. But to be fair its better than being in the agony I was in with the gall bladder For a while after the removal i did, i also had some sickness and heartburn and still get some pains in my side (10 mths later), I drink gaviscon sometimes and have a stemitil if feeling sick. and can't stomach fizzy drink or alcohol. so i don't have my bacardi and coke to often now After having your gallbladder and stones removed you still have to watch your diet and your surgeon should have explained that to you. |
