If i feel sick (indigestion/vomit), am gaining or losing weight? |
ok, so I'm on a eating healthy diet (1800-1500 calories a day/veges/fruit good balance. etc).. cutting down on the junk food. Holy crap. Um, yes, you'll absorb the stuff because you ingested the donuts, but seriously... the indigestion is because you pigged out instead of just treating yourself with one. yes. as long as its in you your body is absorbing the calories. Yes, you are still absorbing plenty of fatty goodness even though you feel nauseous. Your digestive system may try to move this gut bomb on through more quickly than a regular meal, which would theoretically prevent absorption of 100% of the calories and fat, but I would not count on that to be any significant amount. Basically, as long as it is in your system, your system will attempt to do its job and digest it. well your throwing up because you ate too much stuff too fast and your stomache wasnt used to that your sick becuase your stomach couldnt hold that much your going to throw up until your stomach gets back to normal than if you have anything else left its either going to comeout when you throw up or the normal way you won't be able to eat anything for a while because you'll keep on throwing up but after that you can slowly eat dont eat a lot of stuff right after slowly increase how much you eat until you get back to your normally consumable amount You are gaining weight, and you are most likely feeling sick because of the massive spike in your blood sugar. First of all, congratulations on adopting healthy eating habits. I think maybe you are being too restrictive on yourself though, otherwise you would not have binged like that. I did that once too. Took out all carbs, lost ten pounds, rewarded myself with a sandwich and ate most of a loaf of French bread. Got the same kind of indigestion you are talking about. I think it was from going from extremely healthy to extremely junky. Now I allow myself to have treats so that I don't end up binging like that anymore. As far as the calories go, yes you have absorbed them. I watched a show on bulimics one day in school and it said that research shows that even purging only gets rid of about half the calories. My advice to you is to allow the occasional Krispy Kreme or whatever you are into and don't beat yourself up for having it or you will end up eating liek ten of them in one sitting and feeling sick again. |
