Peanuts and a feeling of indigestion? |
I know I'm not allergic to peanuts... I have eaten them my entire life and never had a bad reaction or anything like that. It's caused by your stomach making more stomach acid in order to break down the dense peanut. That acid begins to burn your stomach lining. I had the same problem about 5-6 years ago. Now I feel that way if I eat apples, salsa, nuts, and pizza. I can eat any of those things but not on an emply stomach, and not before exercise. I wish I had an answer for you... I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in this. I end up with indigestion every time I eat peanuts or peanut butter on their own. It makes me wonder if it might be a slight allergic reaction. |
