What is the best cure for indigestion?


I have had indigestion for 2 days now =( what is the best method of getting rid of it???

Having indigestion for 2 days straight sounds more like food poisoning than indigestion.

If a doctor says it's just indigestion, change your diet. If it's the H.pylori bacterium, the doctor will prescribe a course of antibiotics for you.

Maalox or Tagamet. Then, eat better. If you are eating well, work on stress if that's an issue. If you've got both of those covered, go see your doctor. Indigestion sometimes isn't really indigestion. Oh, and if you have a fever, skip the home remedies, and get in to see your doctor.

Peel a lemon (only yellow rind), boil for 5 minutes in a cup of water and drink still hot. If you want to cleanse your digestive system slice one lemon thinly, boil a cup of water, put lemon in, cover cup and let stand all night. Next morning filter liquid, add juice of half a lemon and dring. Repeat for 10 days and your digestive system will thank you for months.

Drink lots of water and minimise spicy, oily food. Increase the consumption of soups etc.

Lay off the taco bell (?)

A teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water. drink fast and get ready to burp. This always works for me and it is real quick.

Fibre have been known to aid indigestion. So foods high in fibre would do magic. Personally, I use Orange Pulp, cause it has high fibre and within a short time am relieved.

I've always had great success with peppermint tea. Sounds like it wouldn't work, but peppermint is actually soothing to the stomach. Also, acidopholis....which will put good bacteria into your system and help your food digest properly.
