Urinary Incontinence in men?

Are there any effective treatments or medications for urge incontinence in older men? Serious answers only please!

He should be seen by a urologist ASAP. The diffential diagnosis includes an enlarged prostate, bladder wall hypertrophy, some type of neurogenic bladder, bladder stones, bladder cancer (especially if he is or was a smoker) and prostate cancer. Treatment is available; but the correct diagnosis needs to be made first.

The correct answer is see a urologist sooner rather than later.

A good indication of prostrate problems, get him to the Dr quickly. JJ

better see an urologist. if it is the prostates....might be worst than incontinence

If caused by bhp,or benign prostatitis, alpha blockers like flomax may help...

See doctor ASAP

Yes there are both; pills and surgery that can help resolve the problem.

It is an extreme challenge to diagnose a condition WITHOUT seeing the patient. Any medical "advise" given on here shouldn't be considered as actual without proper examination of a licensed medical practitioner.

I agree with most of the responses here that recommends seeing a urologist or internist immediately. That is the best advise.
