A question about urinary incontinence?

Suppose I have urinary incontinence, which means my pelvic nerves were weakened. Would they be able to naturally regain their strength or is this problem permanent?

Approximately 80% of those affected by urinary incontinence can be cured or improved.

it depends on how they were damaged, dog. if it was surgery, then they should snap back if they were not damaged. if is is just aging, then it prolly a permanent thing, ask your Dr.

YES , YOU COULD GAIN STRENGTH AGAIN ,. BUT A MEDICATION CALLED "URISPAS" WORKS VERY WELL FOR PEOPLE WITH BLADDER DISORDERS ..IT RELAXES THE BLADDER AND IT HELPS YOU TO HAVE MORE CONTROL

sometimes "kegels" help

It is not always the nerve weakness, it could be muscle weakness and that can be improved by kegel exercises. tightening and relaxing the pelvic muscles that stop the urinary stream. If you are overweight, losing weight can help by reducing the pelvic pressure of the extra weight.

depends on when you became incontinent or if you were born with it.

if you were born with it, it probably won't go away.
