Im 14 And Worried I Have Stress Incontinence? |
i have noticed that recently i have been "dribbling" small amount of urine when i jump, run, laugh really hard or cough... i have looked the symptoms up on the internet and it seems that i have Stress Incontinence, But i have not given birth, i am not obese and i am definatley not going through menapause! i am worried,,, should a girl of my age have stress incontinence? thanks x A girl your age normally doesn't have stress incontinence, but it could happen. Doesn't matter what the cause of it is, just get seen and get it fixed NOW. You could also have a really weak bladder, overactive bladder, a urinary tract infection....even if you don't feel the "burning". You could have bad bladder control, these are all things you could also possibly have. Talk to your parents/guardians about it. Its worth a trip to the doc if he can help make it stop! Good luck! You should talk to your mom about being seen by a doctor. You may have a treatable condition that is causeing the incontinence like a bladder infection. In the meantime while you wait for your appointment, try doing kegel excercises. These can help improve continence over a few weeks. They can be done anytime, anywhere and no one will be the wiser. |
