Should Medicare pay for implantible defibrillators for 90 year olds?

If someone reaches the age of 90 and starts to have some fibrillation problems - should Medicare spend $60,000 to implant an implantable defibrillator?

It's a valid question. How much should society spend to extend life at the extremes? Should all efforts be made to keep a 90 or 100 year old alive for another three months? With no regard to cost?

yes they will

Ask that question again when you're 90.

i should have told u if u r 90
