Impetigo .. driving me crazy?!?

ohk im in high school and i had impetigo a while ago.. caught it off my little brother! i had to have a week off school becuase it looked so bad. and becuase im in high school people are so judgemental and it is a huge thing on my chin. So i went on antibiotics and now it has come back but bigger on my chin.
Ahhhhh! and ive had all this week off because it looks GROSS! i went on antibiotics on wed and its fri now .. when will it clear up?!?! Oh and i didnt get it off my brother becuase he doesn't live with me now anyway.

people are asking me why im not at school and it sucks i can't miss this much school!

Any tips to cover it when its smack bang on your chin?
Or what i can tell them to as why i was away?!?!

You need something to put directly on it---I use a mixture of antibiotic ointment and cortisone cream. Mix these into a paste and apply directly to the sore 3-4 times a day.
I guarantee you will see improvement within 24 hrs.
Good Luck!

Let it breathe and tell them you had a staph infection and couldn't return - it was contagious -
I'd keep it as clean as possible and use antibiotic ointment.
Hopefully it will take a turn for the better, if not call your MD back a s a p!!

When I was in high school I was hospitalized with severe Impetigo(all over face amd neck) because I was allergic to anti biotic treatment - This was the permanent cure that got rid of it quickly. You can do it yourself at home. Apply calamine lotion quite a few times a day. They made me a mask and soaked it in the stuff and made me wear that. It worked and it never came back
