Do you feel unwell with impetigo? |
my son has impetigo (again!) and has also been feeling generelly unwell. It might be, if the condition spreads and becomes systemic, i.e. the staphylococcus enters the blood stream, it can produce septicaemia. If he has a fever this should be taken VERY seriously and medical advice sought! Yes possibly. Get him seen by physician. Is he taking antibiotics...if he is and still feeilng not well, he may need change in prescription Yes - any infection can make you feel unwell as your body is fighting it! A high temperature is normal especially - get him to drink lots of fluids to keep hydrated with it! If he has antibiotics they work quite quickly on this kind of infection. My neice has got it.. She says it is really itchy.. If she touches it and touches anything else, it makes it more contagious and likely to come back.. it's just a serious skin condition |
