Cold sore or impetigo? |
well i woke up a day ago with some puffy lips (Or felt soo) but when i checked it out in the mirror and nothing was there. This is a common question because both impetigo and cold sores both look like blisters, crust over as they heal, and are located around the mouth. I was reading about impetigo a few weeks ago. It's most common in small children. Go to the mayo clinic website and look it up. They will tell you all of the signs and symptoms. I think i can help cause I've had both. Impetigo is usually more of a bumb that you have to pop and then it starts to look like a rash. Cold sores usually develope through the stages all on their own. Plus impetigo is more of a sickness, like chicken pox, and cold sores are more of disease, like they are always in your system and you could keep getting them. |
