How can you cure staph or impetigo?

i think that i got impetigo which is a kind of staph infection. do you know any medicines that i could get that does not require going to the doctor for?

Staph was originally thought to be mainly contracted in hospitals, but the new strain often refered to as the "super bug" has just crept up on us, much like H.I.V. did, out of nowhere. My daughter who is my only survivng triplet was a micro preemie and succeptale to infections for the first few yers of her life, although she had menagitis she survived but the anibiotice genamiacin mispelled) caused her permanent sever/profound hearing loss. She has a choclea implant and hears as well as I do.

Last summer she caught this strain of staph and we were told that it is being contracted at schools, gymnasiums jails. locker rooms boxing arenas playgrounds etc. It is mostly spread through the sharing of towels, dirty towels, having a scrape or cut of any kind that is not properly cared for. If you rub against another person with an open sore you can get it. We took very good care of her staph and at the time it was being referred to as staph that was resistant to all but two antibiotics. One of those being the one that caused her prior hearing loss.. She was one of the very few people locally who did not have to be hopitalized because we caught it early and treated it well. We put the cream on her 5xdaily, she took her oral antibiotics relligiously, we bathed her in bleach (per the doctor's orders) and kept every single area on her body that was cut, scaped or remotely a sore completely bandaged and she wore long pants annd a long sleeve shirt at all times. In ten dys it was gone. She caught it again afteer returning home from summer camp as did her little brother and cousin (none of my 4 other small kids got it) we made sure she slept alone, fully clothed, kept the wounds cleaned and bandaged and she healed in less than a week. Now the strain has been upped to a "totally resistant to anitbiotics" status which scares the living HE__ out of me. Currently if you have been watching the news you have seen that several kids have already died from this and schools across the country have been closed for complete cleaning and fumigation. I know longer alllow my kids to dress out for gym class. Because once the virus gets in your bloodstream (if it does) there is no cure. All you can do know is take preventive measures to ensure you or your kids do not contract this, until they find an antibiotic for it.

Steps to take.

1. throw away all old towels and buy new ones
2. don't hang a towel up after you use it to use again. People mistakenly believe that because they have just cleaned their bodies in the shower that this is fine. It is not b/c the dead skin cells fluff off onto the towel. Wash all towels immediately after usse, dont let wet towels sit around in your laundry room

3. change your bed linens often, i change mine every two days and my kids daily

4. never let one kid jump out of the tub and then another jump into the used bath water

5. keep antibaterial liquid instant hand sanitizer with you always and make your kids learn to use it all day long.

6.. treat and cover wounds

7don't share personal items, towels clothes etc.

8ALWAYS shower after physical actvity

9. properly clean sports gear and equipment

10.keep hands clean

11. consult your DR. immedialtely if you have an open sore especially if it appears to llok like a large pimple a boil has a whtehead, looks like it needs to pop or be drained

these are my dotors suggestions for the best way to avoid or prevent skin infetions caused by antibiotic resistant staph (mrsa)

Impetigo generally responds to soap and water.
If what you've got doesn't, you might try an OTC
antibiotic ointment.
If it still doesn't respond , it's Doctor time.
If it seems to be spreading rapidly, don't mess around.
There are some nasty bugs making the rounds.

you could try Oil of Oregano- it is a natural antibiotic/ antifungal/ antiviral. It is pretty powerful, much better than Tea Tree oil or ony other natural antibiotic, IMHO. It's at health and vitamin stores. It's sold in drops, for external use, or in capsules for internal. It's pretty hot, like cayenne, just so you know. If you get capsules, take with food. The drops might help your skin if applied directly- it took care of a minor staph thing I had.

usually you have to go to the doc because it is a infection and you need antibotic's, We had that a couple of time's when my mom was doing foster care and you need antibiotic ointment and it is very contagious! It is a lotion antibiotic and it suck's another thing was everything you touch!

If it's just impetigo- go to your nearest drug store and buy plain ivory soap, and some campo-phenique, which is some kind of scab relief gel. scrub the infected site with the soap, and then apply the gel. But if it's staph- which is really called Staphylococcus aureus you need to get to a doctor before it causes other problems. This can spread to your entire body and if not treated-it could cause death over a period of time. See if that works, but if not- GET TO A DOCTOR!!

eat loads of fresh raw garlic or do the easy and smart thing and go see a doc.

get antibiotics from the doctor.

Methicillin - a type of penicillin - is the preferred treatment for staph infections.

If you don't treat it properly, with prescription antibiotics, staph can kill you. Don't mess around.

Go to a doctor. Most major cities have free clinic and there are low price clinics everywhere. You can't diagnose a disorder on your own no matter how smart you are or how well you research it. It is never worth risking your life.

Staph infections are only and easily cured by antibiotics assuming you don't have that rare strain of staph that is antibiotic resistant (in which case get yourself to the best hospital you can find in your area no matter the cost!!!). If it is staph your current symptoms may disappear for a bit while the bacteria settle into a more sensitive area like your heart or lungs. You need those to work well to survive. Staph will kill them if left untreated.

Not using antibiotics for staph is just plain ignorance. Not even bothering to go to a doc to find out if it is staph or something even worse is just plain stupid.

GSE? Grapefruit seed extract is a very powerful anti viral, bacterial, fungal, everything...Google it..Good stuff.

Staph is clearly a sign of immune deficiency. Medicines can help, but the diet is key. Look at introducing raw organic products to your diet. Raw milk is a godsend. Unprocessed foods that aren't pasturized, irradiated, and heat treated will pocess vitaimins and minerals, and enzymes that will completely rebuild your immune system and function to completely void your body of staph and other pathogenic invasions. Probiotics can also even the playing field against this type of disease. Look at kefir at rebuilding popluations of bacteria in your digestive system. Yogurt is good, but kefir is better. Supplements that can help aid are cod liver oil(greenpasture.org). Remove vegetable oils, fast food, white flour and sugar (refined products) from your diet. These products will lower your body's pH which makes a breeding ground for such infections and bacteria. You will eventually see yeast infections, tooth decay, body odor, athlete's foot, etc. along with the staph because your body is at the wrong pH. Using coconut oil, lard, and olive oil for cooking, sprouted breads, organic raw milk, meat, eggs, vegetables, and for sugar use mineral based products such as real maple syrup and evaporated cane juice sugar will help keep your body at a much higher pH. Take it from me, staph is nothing to play around with. I was given a short time to live because I had staph continously flowing through my bloodstream. Six years I went through hell, 2-3 months I cured myself after doctors gave up. Now I grow this food so others have a choice.
