Impetigo how long does it last ???

i ve been taking antibiotics for 4 days and im not sure if its doing anything i suppose it hurts less but i take pain killers too,its in an awkward place to heal so i suppose that might be stopping it???

It should have shown signs of improvement by now. Finish the course but then revisit your doctor if it's not cleared up.

The location is probably only a minor factor.

Finish the course of antibiotics. [never take less than a full course]
The skin problem will heal within a week, or as long as a cut usually takes to heal on you.

I used to get impetigo when i handled money alot(cashier) anyhow I would put rubbing alcohol on it at the first signs and it would clear it up in a day. Of course that was at the beginnig symptoms. Maybe try a Qtip dipped in alcohol will help speed the process. I would get it on the side of my nose.

funny you should say that i used to be a casier and i got the sack (was on final warining) for having time off! This took me 2 weeks to heal. Just continue with cream antibiotics and cleaning well should be fine soon xxx
