What is Impetigo??? |
my cuz has it and i dont now if its contages are now. thanks for the help. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im... the nasty mouth a contagious skin disease caused by streptococci or staphylococci hmmm...didn't know it was just a mouth disease. I thought it was a rash on any part of the body. Yes it is contagious It is a bacterial skin infection, which is caused by itching a sore, breaking it open, and getting the pus unto another part of your skin that makes it spread. Yes this can be contages. How old is your cousin? My son had this when he was 4-5yrs old. I thought he was quite young for acne. Anyway I was told by the doctor it can spread from a bacterial such as when they scratch a insect bite or sore, and it is yellowish brownish oozing substance like honey. If they scratch this it will spread to other parts of the body or other people. It however is very treatable and is most common among young children. Impetigo is a staph infection, and is highly contagious, you can also contact this infection through dirty water, such as swimming areas that are not filtered. You will need medical attention, and should not let this go, it could develop into a more serious condition. |
