What causes impetigo? |
My nephew has it and i was wandering how he could have gotten it. Staphylococcal or streptococcal bacteria growing in the upper skin layers. Risks increase with skin that is sensitive to irritants, poor nutrition, illness that has lowered resistance, warm moist weather, unsanitary living conditions and poor hygiene. It rarely becomes serious and with treatment is curable within 7 to 10 days. The vivid imagery from the show Roseanne - The lady who owns the hair salon is always wiping her nose with the back of her hand (that was her cause) |
