Does an immunization hurt?urgent!!? |
plz help does an immunization hurt????????????? There's a slight sting as the needle is inserted but nothing really hurtful. When I was growing up childhood diseases not heard of today were rampant. Measles, diptheria, mumps, scarlet fever & polio left dead, scarred and/or physically disabled/limited kids every year. These diseases have been eradicated in the U.S. through immunization. There are people today who speak out against immunization. Most of these folks grew up after immunizations came into being. If they had seen the misery and suffrering of some of the kids I grew up with I'm sure their beliefs would be much different. most needles hurt a little, but better a little hurt than a deadly disease. these hurt: Smallpox, Typhoid, Anthrax it's not that painful, the best thing i can recommend is that you just don't look. i've had a few where i haven't even realised that they've done it until they've told me. the only times i had it hurt when i was about 10 and i was really nervous, in most cases it should be nothing more than i slight pinch if you stay realxed and dont tense your muscles Yes. Shots hurt. Some hurt for a few minutes, some stay sore for days. But seriously, the illness hurts more. Uhhh they had to pin me down and tape my mouth last time i went. I'm 43 years old and I don't like needles, either. Every time a vaccine is offered to me I say "YES!" The shot will sting a little when you first get it. It is not unusual for the injection site to be warm and achy for a few days after you get it. This happens with almost all injections, not just immunizations. The best advice I can give you is to RELAX when they give you the shot. It hurts worse if your muscles are tensed. I agree totally with the person who said you should get immunized. The reason so many diseases are so rare now is b/c of immunizations. If EVERYONE got immunized, we could eradicate most of the diseases we vaccinate for. Most immunizations do not hurt, nothing worst than a pitch on the skin. Occasionally Hepatitis B can sting as it a thinker consistency. |
