Are you for or against immunization?

Hello, I am doing a survey on people who are for or against vaccinations. This is for one of my college courses and I want to know how many people are for or against vaccines. And why.
Thank You

Totally against it, due to the lack of safety. For some reason people seem to think that it is okay to inject babies with thimerosal (mercury derivative), aluminum, phenols, FORMALDEHYDE, and other toxins. Check out the ingredients as published by the governement:
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkboo...
So I do not think that a child should be injected with that. Many of the things we vaccinate for are not around, and it is not because of the vaccines. 95% of the things that we vaccinate for, were in decline before the vaccinations started. This is due to less crowding, better hygeine, better food, better medical treatment. Viruses mutate, so a vaccine against a virus is not protecting a child. Also vaccines are not tested for their safety, especially the multiple dose vaccines. They are not tested for carcinogenic potential. I just do not feel that the risks outweigh the benefits. I think that vaccines suppress the immune system instead of helping it. I know many unvaccinated children and they are much healthier than vaccinated children (less colds, ear infections, fevers, etc.) So I will choose not to vacciate.
Here are some more links. The state I live in has religious, medical, and philosophical exemptions, and I am very glad for that!

for....because it just makes sense

I'm not against the ones I had 30 years ago, but the ones that are coming out now and in the last few years are causing terrible problems for alot of people.

They haven't been tested long enough.

Some peoples lives have been ruined from some of these new ones.

I really think each person should be tested first to see if they will react to a vaccine, don't just put kids in a line and give it to everyone, and then say, O'well, out of 2000 kids only 5 lives were ruined, so that's not too bad.

Money is what controls drugs nowadays, and it should be safety first. Just watch the news, look at all the recalled drugs and lawsuits going on because they weren't tested long enough.

People who don't get immunized are fools. Vaccines are the cheapest, safest way to prevent disease in history.

It depends. I am completly against guardisil. I was so dizzy the next day that had to lay down for four and a half hours staring at the ceiling. And now there are people that are getting the chicken pox after getting the vaccinations as children. Its worse when you get older. It definatly makes you question how much they really are researching these things. In the long run though, it wont hurt so yes vaccinations.

For, if it is helpful.I dont get them, because i cant afford it, but for children(who are around other children in school) and elderly people, or other people with compromised immune systems, i do think it is a good thing. the one i will get for sure, is the cervical cancer one.

In general, I am for them as many millions or billions of deaths have been prevented because of vaccines.

I am completely against them. I stopped getting them at age 11. The negative side effect possibilities outweigh the good. Besides, once you get the childhood viruses your body naturally builds an immunity to them, that's what happened with me anyway. I had just about all of them as a child, and carry a natural immunity to them today. Your body can do most things on its own if you feed it the good things it needs to do so.

I am for them.

Some of your Answers will be from young people who have never had, or seen, diseases like smallpox, polio, mumps, rubella, measles, or chickenpox. And they've probably never seen or had Hepatitis A or Hepatitis B. Or tetanus.

Although all immunizations (like all medications) may have adverse effects, the diseases they prevent are usually worse than the adverse effects.

I am completely for the HPV (Gardasil) vaccinations. I have seen many, many teenage girls who already have precancerous cervical cell changes from HPV.

I get an influenza vaccination every year. The vaccinations make me a little sick, achy, and feverish. But I've had influenza, and I prefer being a little sick over being a lot sick.

Against them the side effects are way worse. The diseases are not even prominant anymore (and its not because of the shots) I will take the chance with the disease if and when I get it.
