any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.

Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

a cold is a virus and I doubt the virus is still there after a week. You probably developed sinus congestion which hasn't resolved yet. A decongestant would be good but since meds bother you try saline nose spray. It's just a mixture of salt and water you can buy at the drug store. I do think stress inhibits immunity. Than you for researching what I'm sick with.

Yes...there is a strong connection between the mind and the body....Have you heard of psycho somatic illness.? Psycho is mind, soma is body. Stress does weakens our immune system. It is an illness like any other. Avoid stress or find new ways to deal with it. Exercise is one way to relieve the body of mental stress, writing in a journal is another one. Therapy can help too...just get these feeling out. Face your fears, and they will disappear.

It could just be the particular cold virus that you caught.
I caught something(it seemed like a cold....sore throat, hoarse, coughing, etc) in December. I went through 2 rounds of anti-biotics(doc thought it had gone in to my chest), and I still have cold symptoms. I have NEVER had a cold last this long. And I am like you. I can't take anything for a cold(except dayquil , since it doesn't have an antihistamine in it and I am very sensitive to them). Also stress can prolong any sickness. Your immune system is weakened by stress and it takes your body longer to fight off bugs(my doc. told me this).
I know I haven't helped much, but at least you know that stress does prolong sickness.
Good Luck.

chat with me and i can give you some pointers!!
