is the immune system disorder aids A disorder of the immune system can mean that the immune system is comprimised (like AIDS), or an autoimmunity (the body attacks itself, like Lupus), and sometimes it could mean allergies (hypersenitivity to a "benign" antigen.) ISD is a broad category. AIDS is one piece that falls under that category, but other diseases and disorders cause immunse system discunction or failure as well (like the people allergic to dust). This could be almost anything like Aids or other things that affect the immune system like cancer AIDS is one example of a disorder that affects the immune system, but there are different types of immune disorders: immune deficiency disorders (which destroy the immune system, like HIV/AIDS), autoimmune disorders (in which the immune system attacks healthy body tissue), etc. |
