Anyone on here ever had an ileostomy takedown? |
i had an ileostomy takedown after being cured of cancer. i had radiation and chemo. how long did it take you to get normal or almost normal? I had radical radiation for high grade cancer and a colostomy takedown, more or less the same thing, I did not stop bleeding from the radiation for twenty one years. Even now at twenty three years things are far from normal, oncologist said it is the price you pay. I don't have an answer for you but I just received the ileostomy 3 months ago. It is suppose to be reversed in 6 months - do you think I should have to done? |
