Post hysterectomy my wife developed sleep phobea. she gets up with fast heartbeats within minutes of sleeping |
We live in India, My wife underwent hysterectomy. the uterous and ovaries along with ph. tubes were removed on 5th of Jan 2008. It's now almost 37 days and she has not slept a single night without the pill. As soon as she goes to bed she gets a sleep of 30 min to 90 min. Thats it . After this small sleep/nap she has to take sleeping pill to sleep. Then she wud sleep for Maximum 3 Hrs . Then She gets up suddenly fearing and with faster heart beats... It's not that she has problem of sleeplessness.. No she actullay wants to sleep but no sooner she sleeps (even during any time of day) , she wud suddenly wake up under some kind of phobia. We have consulted a good doctor 3 days back. He has prescribed some treatment but even that doesnt seem to work on her properly . She is very afraid . Is this problem curable ?? or we need to go for some very advanced treatment ?? sounds like anxiety attacks. could be from fluctuation of hormones post hysterectomy. see her obgyn again and or a psychiatrist. Is she on hormone replacement? estrogen? probably needs it.... |
