Hysterectomy and weight gain?

I am having to have a hysterectomy ( just the uterus) soon....I have heard alot about weight gain and hysterectomy...is it true?? THanks

My mom had one, and yes she gained weight... about 50 pounds... I'm not sure what causes it, but I've seen it happen to a few aunts as well... Best of luck with your surgery.
