Question on hysterectomy?

I have uterine prolapse and have to get a hysterectomy. They are giving me an option on full or partial hysterectomy. Which one should I choose? Pros and cons of both? If anyone could answer I would appreciate it.

I am having surgery next week for the same condition. Due to a prior surgery, I already lost one ovary 12 years ago. (Still had 3 kids though). My doctor and I have chosen to remove the uterus, but leave the one ovary. Hopefully my hormones will continue to function well than until I should have naturally gone into menopause. I'm only 35, so should still have a while.
My mother had the same thing done in her 30's as well, and is just now having symptoms of menopause.
Unless there is a major reason not to, save your ovaries.

Google hysterectomy and you will learn everything you need to know. You can also ask your doc what he recommends and why.
