HYPOTHYROIDISM with growth in teens....? |
Im a 16, female, and i've been researching on the internet about the symptoms and i have most of them including irregular i aswell am 16 years old and i'm pretty sure i may have the same problem. it happens to run in my family and my mom thinks i should go get tested. i have not done it yet however it is not extreemly rare that you have it. this condition can effect anyone for a number of reasons. your weight may also be a factor. if you are noticing you are a bit larger and arent losing the weight you may have hypotyroidism. i also now my brothers girlfriend has it and lost a great deal of weight in a short period of time after developing the problem. the best thing you can do is wait for the doctor to let you know and ask them any questions you may have. the pill you will have to take will probably help you a lot and you may notice a big difference. don't worry you're not the only one at this age. lol hope i helped some? |
