Hypothyroidism and PCOS with abnormal uterine bleeding??

I went to see my ob/gyn because I noticed my cycle was still present after 16 days. After testing I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism,PCOS and 1 fibroid on my left ovary. I was temporarily placed on birth control to regulate the bleeding (After I explained that my husband and I are TTC my ob/gyn still suggested the birth control)...I am waiting to see an endocrinologist (My Appt. is Feb, 14th) but it has been almost two months and I am still bleeding. Is there anything that the endocrinologist can do to help or should I schedule another appt. with my ob/gyn?

I would make an appt with your ob/gyn since Feb. 14 is so far away, but definitely go to the Endocrinologist. They're professionals at this type of stuff. They're the ones that diagnosed me with PCOS and prescribed me the meds to help control the cysts on my ovaries (Metformin). If you're trying to conceive and are having all the problems that you mentioned above, you definitely need the Endo. But, in the meantime, get checked by your ob just to try and get the bleeding under control. I know it sucks getting put on birth control when you're ttc, but it's probably the best thing for you at this moment. Good luck!
