I just got diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and was wondering what foods to eat, avoid, be active?.......what could i do to help my condition. I realize I have to take meds...prolly forever and that there isnt a cure. im 23, and 5ft 1...weigh about 113. **I would appreciate only answers founded on truths please. i need some advice and medical facts. thanks HI Jamlynee My wife had hyperthyroidism and then had it nuked with radioactive iodine. Weight gain is probably the biggest complaint and once you gain it is very hard to loose with the slower metabolism. About.com has some great thyroid info and newsletters you can sign up for. |
