Friend might have severe Hypothermia?

It must be atleast -16 around here in canada and he mustve been exposed to it for around 40-50 minutes just walking around with a thin shirt and a thin zip up sweater on without proper headwear and then fell into canal ice which is frozen over and got submerged for atleast 10 minutes i think and that water is super could, doctors said his core temperaure whatever that is was way below normal and he wasent concious, passed out when i took him out of the water, his skin is a really weird colour and the doctors were going nuts trying to find a pulse and that i couldent stay cause im just a friend and they said i was taking up space in the room and they needed to do emergency treatment

whats wrong with him and how severe is it? im worried cause they were having pulse problems when i overheard while i was still in the room and when i took him out he was ocmpletly gone doctors said he mustve been exposed to the cold for maybe an hour minimum i only found him cause i was coming to see him

If they couldn't find a pulse, that's normally not a good sign. It really depends on how long his heart had stopped to determine the chances that they'll be able to get it started again.
The risk with a persons heart stopping as well is decreased oxygen to brain. Over 5 minutes without a pulse and it's pretty much guaranteed the person will suffer from severe brain damage.
However, there has been cases in the past where people have fallen into lakes, rivers, etc through the ice and have had their heart stop for over 10 minutes (I think the longest I read about was 15 minutes) and the person suffered no brain damage. Hopefully your friend will have that luck.

this is really bad my friend ..
i think it is a frost bite ... pray for him
