Do I have orthostatic hypotension?

Once a while, maybe once a month or once every two months, usually when I wake up in the morning, I get up to walk and everything turns grey and I get dizzy. It feels like Im gonna pass out but its not strong enough and it only lasts a couple of seconds. I only ate like 100 calories yesterday but today I ate fine & it happened to me like 5 times today. Do I have orthostatic hypotension or is it from not eating alot? thx

ok thx. But what if I eat normally. It still happens when i eat normally too.

It looks like you do. You should have it checked out by a doctor. You are having the episodes much too frequently to be ignored. As others have said, you need to eat better. That is just a matter of good health.

"What is Orthostatic Hypotension?
Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden fall in blood pressure that occurs when a person assumes a standing position. It may be caused by hypovolemia (a decreased amount of blood in the body), resulting from the excessive use of diuretics, vasodilators, or other types of drugs, dehydration, or prolonged bed rest. The disorder may be associated with Addison's disease, atherosclerosis (build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries), diabetes, and certain neurological disorders including Shy-Drager syndrome and other dysautonomias. Symptoms, which generally occur after sudden standing, include dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision, and syncope (temporary loss of consciousness)."

IDK I'd ask a doctor.

it's from not eating anything. your body can't live off of 100 calories/ day. your blood pressure may be low as a result of low intake of fluids and food, but the dizziness is most likely from not eating.
