Orthostatic Hypotension. What Messes Up Senses? |
Ok so i know this is normal and i am an active healthy person but like when this happens (e.g like if im sorta resting on the couch and jolt up) like things go kinda weird lol. I just want to know what causes the weirdness. Like sometimes i sorta get all slopy and like im high for a couple of seconds but other times my smell sense goes weird or i get a weird smell sensation. Sometimes like vision blurs and eyes twinkle a bit. I like csant balance to well lol. The point is what causes all this. I know blood struggles to get to the brain but does the loss of blood muck up your senses? And How? You might be suffering from a balance disorder. Balance Disorder is a disturbance of the inner ear that can make people feel unsteady or as if they were moving, spinning, or floating. Balance disorders are one cause of falls and fall-related injuries, such as hip fracture. Anything that makes your brain go fuzzy would affect all your senses because the brain is where those inputs get analyzed and interpreted. You may think it's your tongue tasting, but it's the brain telling you if it's an orange or a piece of liver. The eyes and ears are directly wired into your brain, so of course those would go fuzzy faster. As soon as the brain has enough oxygen and blood supply to work full throttle again, everything sorts out. |
