Heart rate and blood pressure too low? |
I checked at a store and so did my husband. His was in line with what it has always been, which was borderline high. Mine has always been a bit low (I have orthostatic hypotension) but to have it be 96/something and then bp 56 was strange. Blood pressures change all the time: you are right, they can change with changes in position {standing, sitting}, and sometimes the heart rate can change corespondingly. If an MD has told you you have postural hypotension, then perhaps you should be careful about changing from lying to standing, etc. Do it slowly, and should you feel dizzy or "like fainting" after standing...lie back down or put your head beneath your knees level until you feel better. Otherwise, QUIT TRIPPING ABOUT YOUR BP! Take meds as your MD advises, and follow all your MD's other instructions as well...but don't let your BP numbers tell you how you feel! When it comes to symptoms such as dizzyness, or chest pain, or shortness of breath, or feeling feint...let those feelings guide you as to what to do...in other words, wouldn't it be silly to say "I feel great but my Blood Pressure says I better faint?" Do pay attention to your Blood Pressure and health in general of course...but do not cause yourself undue anxiety over numbers that might not have been accurate in the first place. Hope you and your husband are doing well. I'm sorry, your are right. When I read my thing later I also thought...geez, that was a little rough. 50 lashes, no gruel. Sorry again....I still mean what I mean though. Report It if my b/p was that low i would be at a hospital now |
