What test are there to check blood flow to the head? |
Having dizziness, since of imbalance walking. I do have bradycardia (42bpm), What test besides tilt table test check to see blood flow to the head is enough when upright? Docters cant seem to point a finger on it, maybe hypotension. You could have a carotid ultrasound. It will show how much blood is flowing to the brain and how fast. This procedure is done laying down though. Carotid dopplers could be done, basically an ultra sound of the vessels that supply blood to the brain. This would reveal any blockage or decreased blood flow. There are also several other things to take into consideration though: How is your diet? Low blood sugar can cause dizziness. Are you over weight? Do you stay relatively active? How are your other vital signs? ie. blood pressure Are you taking any medications? |
