Hypoglycemia getting worse, need some advice.? |
I have had hypoglycemia for 4 years and I have done ok to manage it. But lately It has been all outta wack. Im really fatigued, I get dizzy and I almost pass out. Glucose tablets dont do anything for me either. I too suffer from hypoglycemia. For myself,my savior is peanut butter. If I feel myself getting light headed,I take a spoonful of peanut butter and it relieves the symptoms.I also find that when I eat cereal, for some reason it aggravates the condition. If I eat cereal,no matter what kind,I can count on my sugar dropping a few hours later. get a notebook As you have found out, candy is not the best. I have become accustomed to drinking a lot of juice throughout the day and eating different fruits and granola bars. Jell-O cups, apple sauce, and cookies are also pretty good snacking foods. I know they are not the healthiest foods out there but they help with the dizziness. One thing you could try is getting a prescription for Diazoxide - it suppresses insulin production. |
