Hypoglycemia w/ the glucose screening test?

Why is it that they don't check for hypoglycemia in the one hour glucose screening test...because there are no follow up blood draws, how do they know that your blood sugar won't drop to a severe low several hours after drinking that stuff? I've only heard that they look for high levels one hour after drinking it...but then even if your levels are high, there is a chance that you might have a sugar crash and levels could go low. Why don't they check for that and diagnose hypoglycemia in pregnancy?

Probably because of the fact that it is so rare.
