Hypoglycemia and anxiety?

i have no stinkin' clue whats wrong with me.
3 months ago i smoked pot, had an extreame panic attack while i was high.
the docter said i might have hypoglycemia.
the therapist said i had an extreame anxiety disorder.
i have been having panic attacks but lately the've stopped and now i'm in this state of confusion.
like i feel like my mind isn't connected to reality... it's crazyyy! It kinda feels like my mind doesn't match my body... ehhh i don't think i'm explaining this right... i also get this feeling that i'm just "waking up" in the middle of things... i think i probably over analyze things.
and today i hadn't eaten anything and at school i all of a sudden zoned out while i was talking to someone, like i wasn't aware of anything.
i hope i explained this where you could understand me.
please tell me whats wrong and how can i get "connected" back to reality... or help me to stop over analizing my existance... or anything! just helppppppp! please

So did you have your blood sugar checked? Most people who actually have hypoglycemia not induced by insulin or similar meds are on the verge of having diabetes. They're at a stage where their pancreas pumps out too much insulin in response to a meal instead of too little, making them have low blood sugar several hours later. People can get all sorts of symptoms following this time course. It's an easy diagnosis to confirm. Not only can the lab check your blood sugar, but any drug store sells a home monitor for blood sugar for under $100, less if you have insurance and your doctor writes a prescription for it. 10 test strips come with the monitor, so you can see for yourself if your symptoms correlate with a low blood sugar. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't.

It sounds as if you're saying that you feel poorly connected to reality all the time, though, which doesn't sound like hypoglycemia. Waking up in the middle of things is something someone would say if he or she were having seizures, though there are plenty of other reasons for inattentiveness, too. I wish you would see a neurologist or a psychiatrist who can explore your symptoms with you, because what you're describing doesn't make me comfortable with a diagnosis of either hypoglycemia or anxiety. I would want to know that you've seen someone who can consider all the other possibilities. If you don't have the means to see a specialist, go through your county for help.

I don't think you're overanalyzing anything. I think you're doing the best you can to describe your experience. There are of course other points to be made. Are you taking any meds that might be making you confused? Have you stopped the pot? I think you need to see a specialist to get as good a diagnosis as you can. Then you can quit trying to put it into words so much.

I'm a retired neurologist.

well if you do have hypoglycemia it can cause you to pass out if you dont eat. it means that your blood sugar is always low so when ever you feel shaky and out of it have a snack or sumthing.

I have anixiety disorder, and I am also hypoglicemic. I know exactly what you're talking about. But the only time I feel disconnected is when I miss a meal. Don't go without eating, this is the key.
The anixiety is tough, I am on zolft for the past 2 months, and don't feel any better with that.
Bute remember don't miss a meal.

I would think so. If I am super hungry, I get very irritable, which I am sure is because of a current state of low blood sugar. I am nearly positive the two should be related.
