Is my hypoglycemia turning into something else.. pre-diabetes?

I had the 8-hour blood test 2 years ago that confirmed I have hypoglycemia..

Now, the past few mornings, I have woken up, eaten breakfast (oatmeal the one day, cereal the other day), and after eating felt really crappy.. upon checking my levels, I was 194 after the oatmeal (the highest I've ever been besides during the 8-hour controlled test @ the Dr.'s), and today I was 167 after the cereal.

The morning in between these 2 mornings, I did a fasting.. I woke up in the AM and before I ate anything I tested.. it was only 86.. which is "normal"..

Could my hypoglycemia be getting worse? Am I now into "pre-diabetes"?

I've never ever seen my sugar at more than 120, it rarely even goes above 100, so the 160 and 190 were very very strange for me to see..

To eliminate the "carbo charge" I recommend you loose the cereals and grains in your food plan!!

I do suppose plain regular oatmeal with nothing on it and cooked in water wouldn't hurt much, but I want milk and butter and a bit of sweetening on mine, and that is really bad for my glucose levels.

I also never eat cereals for starting the day! They do make me feel crappy and cranky all day long. They will send my glucose levels toward 350 for the day!!!

You do understand that Hypoglycemia can change to Hyperglycemia at a moment's notice? You can go from being super sensitive to insulin to resistant to the same insulin really quickly.

Very careful food planning is the only way to regulate Hypogly at this time, I think. If you do fewer carbos, you will not have the headaches of going hypo all the time.

Check 2 hours after eating. Avoid high sugar meals.

I would think so. If I am super hungry, I get very irritable, which I am sure is because of a current state of low blood sugar. I am nearly positive the two should be related.
