Hypoglycemia question?

Does anyone suffer from regular hypoglycemic episodes? Do episodes scare you? How do you deal with it?

Also, has anyone overcome symptoms, if so, how? Thanks in advance for sharing --Hypoglycemia sufferer

My husband at times does. He passed out and hit his head on the dresser. Thankfully he wasn't hurt seriously.

His doctor told him when it goes low to eat a 1/2 of a power bar. He said this would bring it back to normal without causing his blood glucose to go too high. His doctor also told him the power bar has protein in it that would give him strength after having a hypoglycemic episode. He said don't panic when this happens, just treat it.

Hope this helps.

Have a blessed day!

I get it as a diabetic. I feel confused and anxious when I get it. I find some sugar to relieve it.

This is a condition called in layman's terms; low blood sugar.
People with this condition tend to keep candy or some form of sugar on them to eat or drink when they have a low blood sugar episode.
It's always best to consult your doctor this can be a very serious condition.

Balance the amount of medication taken with the amount of food eaten. Always keep a Granola bar nearby.
