Can hypoglycemia be a symptom of celiac(coeliac) disease? |
i'm trying to figure out why i'm so hypoglycemic all of the time and my parents told me to ask my md to give me a celiac test and i was just wondering if that would have anything to do with hypoglycemia. please only give me a serious answers seeing how this is a seriuos issue. My mom has hypog. and all I know about it is she needs to have protein whenever she's restless trying to sleep or when she's really weak. They put you on a diet of small meals through out the day that contains protein. Like a peice of cheese or peanut butter It certainly cant hurt to try the celaic test. Its just a matter of a blood test. but u must be eating gluten before the test for it to be accurate. Celiac has MANY symptoms so its hard to rule it out based on symptoms, testing is much more accurate, first in blood tests then with endoscopyies with biopsies. But most endos arent done unless a doc thinks u need one (u may have to pushi f u think u do.) |
