Hyperthyroidism..?

I stopped getting my thyroid checked about a year ago after the doctor told me that my T3 and T4 levels were straightened out.. I have begun noticing signs that it is off balance again. One of the main problems: irritability. Has anyone experienced this that has any advice on controlling it? Getting angry at family and friends for no reason is causing tension that I don't have the time or energy for. I am planning on going back to the endocrinologist soon, as soon as I am able to make an appointment that doesn't hugely interfere with my schedule..

Any help would be appreciated.

I know that hyperthyroidism causes hyper-excitability or hyperactivity.. so maybe that has something to do with it. While this is just a nuisance for now, I'd see the doctor as soon as I could. Even if it interferes, if your hormones aren't straightened out, it could lead to further problems down the road. Consider your irritability a blessing in disguise :). If anything, it helps detect a problem that could be reoccuring.
