Hyperthyroidism and Iodine sport supplements.?

I had Hyperthyroidism and someone told me that I shouldn't take any sport supplements (like protein bars and drinks) that contains Iodine. Is it true?

Are you being treated for Hyperthyroidism? You should be talking with the Physician that is treating you. I have been told that we need iodine, but not the salt. Each individual has different needs, do discuss this with your Doctor, your case may be different than mine or someone Else's that is giving you well meant advise.
