Can Hyperthyroidism disrupt a woman's menstural cycle? |
I've just been unofficialy diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. So far, all of the symptoms fit, but I haven't had my period this past month (no I am not pregnant), and I can't find anything that says that might be another symptom. who diagnosed you with hyperthyroidism? there isn't a diagnosis of it until your TSH comes back high and your T4 hormone comes back low. not really =my youngest daughter has it and is regular as clock work i had hyperthyroidism about 2 years ago and had my para thyroids removed. I personalitly didnt experience any thing different but every body different. It might be stress if your worrying about having this hyper..... if you are diagnosed dont worry about it. The way i looked at it was i rather hav this then have somthing life threating. THAT HAPPEN TO MY FRIEND TOO SHE HAD TO GET ON BIRTH CONTROL PILL TO REGULATE IT Yes, my sister has hyperthyroidism and when she was diagnosed she had not had a period in 6 months. They had to give her hormones to give her a period and then they are still trying to figure out her medication because she still has not started having periods again. |
