Bulging eyes with hyperthyroidism - can this reverse?

I'll start treatment for hyperthyroidism soon and would like to know if it's possible for the bulging of the eyes to reverse with treatment.

....I've never heard of bulging eyes with hyperthyroidism. I think your eyes probably are just naturally shaped that way. Hyperthyroidism is a hormonal thing, has nothing to do with your eyes.

Yes bulging eyes is one of the major symptoms of that disease. With the proper meds that should get better in time.

If you have Graves' disease, you may need to take anti-thyroid medication until the disease goes into remission. As the disease is treated, the bulging will eventually recede, according to Thomas Hedges, M.D., director of neuro-ophthalmology at the New England Eye Center at the New England Medical Center in Boston. This could take a year or two.
