Symtoms oh hypertension?

Hi- I get higher blood pressure when I am even mildly over weight - If someone has this problem too- what symptoms do you have. Even though they say hypertension is a silent killer- I feel bad when my blood pressure is up.

SYMPTOMS OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

High blood pressure is often ASYMPTOMATIC. People with 鈥榮evere鈥?high blood pressure may experience the following symptoms:

Dizziness
Flushed face
Nervousness
Headache
Sudden sensation of heat
Fatigue and weakness
Restlessness
Difficulty breathing
Nose bleed
Insomnia
Intestinal complaints
Emotional instability
Palpitation
Bloated stomach
Frequent or difficult urination
Eyes not focused, blurred vision

Primary hypertension is often asymptomatic until complications develop, such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney failure.

Change your life style... proper diet and be active... go for walks.... All this will keep you smiling fit for years!

Smiles Report It

me too. I get this feeling as if the blood in my veins is rushing around ...usually in my left arm. I get light head and woozy. I sometimes cant think clearly when my pressure is up.

Yes weight can effect your BP. Probably the reason you feel "bad" when your BP increases is because it causes the heart to work harder and the blood simply does not flow as well. Besides medication and weight loss exercise is an excellent way to lower the blood pressure. It strengthens the heart and releases chemicals which are good for the arteries and also for your mental health.

Whenever my BP spikes I too feel lousy. As my doctor told me the increase causes my heart to ramp up which causes chest pain. Due to a heart condition I take nitro which relieves the pain. I also get headaches which go away after I sit down and relax.

Its difficult to know if u have blood pressure. Its really a silent killer. However normally people who are hyperactive, sweat a lot, become agitated fast usually have high blood pressure. Once u have high BP there is no cure. U take medicines to keep it in check and change yr life style and diet.

1. Brisk walk, jog 45 mins everyday.
2. Low salt diet
3. No oil, butter etc
4. No red meat or egg yolk

High BP also leads to cholesterol if u are not careful
